Pioneer Pump is pleased to announce the opening of a new facility in Victoria, Australia. Pioneer Pump will manufacture, sell and service diesel and electric driven pump packages at the new 2000 square meter facility on Sunshine West in Victoria.
“We recognize that mining industry experts in Australia have significant influence over the dewatering and pumping needs of mines worldwide,” said Paul Schlumpberger, Pioneer Pump Vice President. “Adding service and support in Australia positions us to address one of our key market segments where many of the decisions are made.”
Pioneer Pump reports strong growth into the Southeast Asian mining market over the last two years. Adding the operation in Australia is a step forward in support of our global expansion strategy.

Ralated Article: Wilo Opens New Test Bay at the Competence Centre in Hof
The opening celebration of the test bay on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 was the crowning event of Wilo s construction project in Hof. In 2011 the company began building a new hall here with a total area of 1500 square metres as a place to test pumps.
The completed test equipment, which is 25 x 52 metres, is now the pride of the location. The test pool holds one million litres of water and has a depth of six metres. Altogether Wilo has invested more than 2.5 million euros in the new building and has once again made an important contribution to strengthening the official Bavarian Water Competence Centre.
The guests were given a fascinating look at the equipment and at how pumps are tested. The event was musically accompanied by the Irish folk quintet "Kerryman s Daughters," led by Cordula Schiller, from the Hof Symphony Orchestra.
The facility in Bavaria is the Wilo Group s global Lead-Engineering-Centre for submersible pumps. This means Hof, in addition to India, is the central hub in the company s global activity in the water management sector. Employing about 500 people here, Wilo produces a comprehensive range of pumps and systems for public water supply, sewage disposal and sewage treatment technology. The product range extends from submersible pumps with a power of less than one kilowatt through to models with several hundred kilowatts. Innovative technologies for achieving the maximum level of efficiency, and thus the best energy efficiency, are some of the most striking characteristics of Wilo s products.
